South Swell’s key personnel have extensive restoration experience including land acquisition and land planning, both nationally and within Florida. Our Team members are well suited to address the necessary restoration services to complete a mitigation project, specifically environmental permitting, wetland design, maintenance and monitoring services, construction activities, and legal support. South Swell’s team has performed numerous wetland construction projects for public and private agencies throughout the country. Many of these projects involved extensive land form alterations and the construction of wetland restoration/mitigation sites. South Swell affiliate Tampa Contracting Services constructed the wetland restoration project on the publicly-owned portion of Port Redwing in Tampa, FL known as the Fred and Ida Schultz Nature Preserve (pictured). This 120-acre parcel received numerous awards and has been fully restored and now provides 55 acres of estuarine habitats, six acres of freshwater systems, and functional upland ecosystems. TCS has constructed many other large-scale wetland restoration projects, including the largest in Tampa Bay and one of the biggest in Florida, the 2,400 acre Terra Ceia Ecosystem Preserve (pictured).
